This is the first and the most favourable of my Contents Page designs, as it more versitile from the others, as it features a different layout from the others & is easy to venture around. The 'Title' for the page is situated at the top of the page, and considerably larger than other text featured across the page so it stands out more, with the sub-title of 'Features' located just below, smaller and in a similar style to show continuity across the page. The 'Images' which correlate with a specific story are situated down the central line of the page, whilst the page number is located in the bottom right-hand corner of each image so the story is can be easily found. Whilst the 'Headline' for each major story is placed to the right-hand side of the image, including some information to provide some details of the story to introduce the reader more to the feature. Other story headlines, features & exclusives are positioned along the left-hand side of the page, with the correlating page number down the left-hand side of the 'Headline'. On this design, an 'Exclusive' which is positioned in the bottom right-hand corner of the page could possibly be positioned at the top of the page so it is more noticeable and instead could be replaced with one of the few 'PUGs' which are also featured across the page. The 'Title' logo, for the Front Cover of the Magazine ("Paparazzi") is positioned at the bottom of the page, this is the style in which the 'Title' of the Contents page & sub-title would be styled. Although this design is not overly complicated, it is not confusing either, and is a sleak, bold & easy to navigate design which I think would be ideal for my Magazine as it allows readers to locate what they are looking for, without causing confusion.#2
This is the second possible design for my Magazine's Contents page, this style emphasizes a much more busy look in comparison to design #1. The 'Title' is positioned in the upper left-hand corner of the page, and is conveyed as the largest piece of text so it is emphasized more to the audience, whilst the 'Sub-title' ("Features") is located directly below in a similar style to the Magazine Title & the Contents Page Title to show continuity throughout the Magazine. Directly to the right of the title is an 'Exclusive PUG', a one off privilege for the Magazine which is advertised in the Content of the magazine. The main contents of the material of the magazine is located in a column along the left-hand side of the page, in a list style, with the 'Headline' for each story portrayed with the correlating page number next to it, on the right hand side. Down the right-hand side of the page are some other main stories of the Magazine, with featured text along with it, to give a partial insight into the story. They are positioned in scattered style across the page, to make the page more busy & interesting for the reader to look at. Located in the bottom left-hand corner of the page is a 'PUG' & the 'Title' of the Magazine. Also included along the bottom of the page is a 'Banner' styled in the same way as the titles of the magazine, this would advertise other elements of the magazine to attract the audiences attention, such as 'Posters'.#3
This is possible design #3 for the Contents page of my magazine, a style in which accentuates a more compact, busy yet interesting fashion. It features all the elements of a contents page, in a different manner to the other 2, it is easy to navigate around and is a simple yet busy design. Featured across the top 3rd of the page is the 2 main Titles of the page ("Contents" & "Features") Contents, being significantly larger to stress that the page is the content. Then, the word 'Features' is styled in a reciprocal way to the 'Contents' title. The main title of the magazine ("Paparazzi") is positioned in a smaller version in the upper-left hand corner of the page, next to the title to make the name of the magazine more prominent across the magazine. An 'Exclusive' PUG is situated just below this to bring light upon the title of the magazine & the independent feature which is constituted as a one off in the magazine, intriguing the audiences attention more. Along the left-hand side of the page are an organised arrangement of images which correlate with other major headlines in the magazine, along with the headline below the photo & in the bottom right-hand corner of the image is the corresponding page number. Along the paralleling right-hand side of the page is the content of the magazine, which includes various exclusives and headlines featured throughout, with the page number to the right-hand side of the text. On the bottom of the page is a 'banner' which contains & endorses other aspects of the magazine such as 'posters, other exclusives etc.'. Also there are PUGs & a smaller version of the front cover of the magazine. Depending on the selected colour scheme of the magazine, depends on what colours will be included where, and what works well together to accentuate the content of the magazine.
