Photograph Analysis, Main Model Material

#1
This photograph is a medium-long shot of the Model, it is a good distance away from the camera enabling a full-view of the upper body and also makes her face entirely visible so we get a clear view of the her expression. With this image it can be cropped around the edges to condense the photo to fit an A4 size page. Or the image could possibly be cut out with the Lasso Tool on Photoshop to cut around the image and re-size it to fit the page. This would enable more space for the Front Cover elements of the page because with the image in this style there is not a lot of space allowed. This is a strong photograph, the position she is embodying is striking, her facial expression is strong, her facial expression emits some attitude even though she is not facing towards the camera, she is looking away.

#2
This is a strong, medium close-up photograph in which can be used for either the contents page or the double-page spread, within the Magazine. Her facial expression is strong and it is made even stronger by her staring directly into the camera, she embodies a powerful mien through the positioning of her hands. She has bold make-up which strengthens the image, and makes it more striking. It is fantastic lighting although it could be toned down slightly so that her face and arms have less glow to them.

#3
This a full length, medium shot of the model, it is more suitable for the contents page or the double-page spread. This image is not as strong as the prior photographs because although her facial expression is strong by emitting a less edgy and attitudinal mien, her body posture does not support it. Her left-hand arm is too static and is not doing anything to make the image more striking, furthermore not matching the right-hand arm which is positioned grabbing her hair. Also, the stance she is embodying is not very strong, although it differs from the previous images because she is crouched down, her pose does not match the strength of the right-hand arm and the facial expression. It is unlikely I will use this image within the magazine.

#4
This photograph is a medium shot of the model and a lot more softer than the images prior, it features the model wearing pastel and more softer colours with less make-up, making the overall image less striking and bold in comparison to the others. By her hair being tied up makes her face and her expression a lot more clearer to the audience, plus in this image her mien is not as edgy as the others, this can interpreted as conveying a calmer, more gentle side of the Featured Artist. There is excess space around the edge which can be cropped to enable the image to be condensed to place more focus on the model, and so elements of the magazine e.g. PUGs can be placed around the sides of it. This image is more suited for either the Contents Page or the Double-Page Spread.

#5
This shot is a medium-close up of the model, this photograph could be placed on any of the magazine elements. The excess space around the outside of the image could be useable for factors of the magazine, e.g. stories, PUGs, titles etc. With this photograph, it can also be condensed to fit an A4 page also. This photograph follows the style of #4, it is styled as a more softer style and is a strong photo as it contains the same elements as #4. Although, with this photograph her facial expression is a lot more edgier and stronger as she conveys a slight smirk and her eyes very strong, whilst looking away from the camera also shows an edgy persona of the model.

#6
This is one of my personal favourites of the photograph anthology and will definitely be used in my Magazine. The photograph is significantly strong, although this image would not be finalized as an image suitable for the Front Cover because it is shot in landscape and would be too squashed for to include on the front cover. But, it can most definitely be included within either the contents page or the double-page spread. The overall image of the model is astonishingly powerful, her make-up is bold and vivid, her hair is bold and is strengthened by the contrast with the sofa she is lying on, along with the contrast of the make-up. Her eyes are accentuated by the dark colours used, this also contrasts to the bold hair & make-up. The pose she embodies is striking, especially by the use of the red nail-varnish used on her fingers, the image is showing an edgy side to the Model, and with her looking away from the camera emphasizes the edgier image more significantly.

#7
This photograph is a medium-shot of the Model, this image specifically follows the theme of bold hair & make-up with the edgier look. She holds a strong pose by looking away from the camera with her mouth slightly loose and her posture is tall and strong. This image could be used within any of the Magazine Elements (Front Cover, Contents Page & Double-Page Spread). The excess space around the outside allows room for other factors of each of the Magazine Elements, e.g. PUGs, Titles, Stories etc. This image works well as a Front Cover image, it is rather wide but the photograph can be cropped and condensed down a size to fit an A4 page. Also, the image can be brightened and intensified to make the Model much more vivid & bolder so the image is stronger.

#8
This photograph is different from the latter of the images as this is a close-up of the Model. This image is not eligible for a Front Cover because it is too close and there is not enough space to compose a Front Cover with because all the elements of one will not fit the entire page. Although, it is a strong image which can be included within the Contents Page or the Double-Page Spread. The overall image is vibrant and strong because of the pose she is taking up and because of the bold Hair & Make-up, and is completed with the glare from her radiant blue eyes as a part of her edgy facial expression being aimed directly into the Camera, which causes the image to be much more striking towards the audience.

#9
This image is a Medium Close-up of the Model. This photograph is another one in which eligible for all 3 Magazine elements because the image is positioned with excess space around the edges so there is room for aspects such as stories, PUGs and Titles. The image is very lucid and bold with the influence mainly on the Hair, Make-Up & Facial expression. Whilst her striking Blue Eyes stare straight into the camera to add to the innovative persona. Her body posture and position add to this innovative style, to make the image more striking. Also, as an effect of when the photograph was taken, the flash caught a-hold of a blue Gem on the necklace she was wearing and the lighted reflected to emit an incredible shine effect. I was going to add in Shine Effects through photoshop as it is apart of the designing process of the images, and is an influence on the Magazine to include glistens, as a part of the Electro/Pop, Dance genre. This is a strong image and will most likely be included within one aspect of the Magazine.

#10
This is medium long-shot of the Model is my favourite photograph. This photograph specifically is Front Cover material, there is a lot of excess space which can be cropped to fit an A4 page. Although even when the image is cropped, there will still be plenty of room to fit all of the Magazine's Front Cover elements. This image is significantly stronger than a large amount of the prior images, the posture and pose she is embodying is vivid and robust which her arm & hand stretched as if to touch of grab something. Her hair is very wild, adding to the edgy look I want the Featured Artist to be aiming for, this is supported by the bold colours and dark eyes from the makeup. Her facial expression is a strong mien as she is glaring straight into the camera but at an angle, so it adds to the edgy style yet adds attitude and mystery. With this image, some editing effects can be added to enhance the overall appearance of it e.g. brightening the image, enhance the edges of the Model, and enhancing the colours to make the image more vivid.
